Breakfast is the most important meal of the day they say. And whoever they are, I completely agree with them! Breakfast is my favorite meal, hands down! So in honor of that, I wanted to share my recipe for Semi-Homemade Cinnamon Rolls!
During the holidays I am known for my cinnamon rolls and friends and family alike request them often! But homemade from scratch cinnamon rolls is too much trouble for the busy weekday mornings! So I have found a way to get similar results with this recipe for Semi-Homemade Cinnamon Rolls and it will have you out the door and on time, with a full belly!
Semi-Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
1 tube of Grands Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese icing
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of pecans, finely chopped
1/2 a stick of butter
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees while you prep the other ingredients. In a large measuring cup melt your butter in the microwave. Once melted stir in the brown sugar. In a well greased round pan, add the butter and brown sugar mixture. Then add the pecans. Carefully unroll the tube of cinnamon rolls and place on top of the butter, brown sugar, pecan mixture. Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Once done, remove from the oven and invert onto a serving plate. Top with the icing that came with the cinnamon roll tube and serve while warm being careful not to burn yourself!
I usually pre-heat the oven when I first get up because ours takes a long time to heat up. Then I prepare the semi-homemade cinnamon rolls and place in the oven while I am getting ready. Usually, I am ready as the cinnamons rolls are ready to come out of the oven! And the days I make these, I don’t have to beg the teenage boy to get out of bed but once! The smells alone are enough to rouse him to consciousness!
